Okay, this didn’t work last time I posted it. HERE is my dad’s friend Larry’s 1984 fan video for Van Halen’s “Jump!”
Edited linearly on deck machines, it’s pretty great and features some great 80s sunglasses, mustaches, short shorts, hacky sack, and awesome skydiving-while-lip-syncing-to-Van-Halen.
Also of note, Larry actually showed this video to David Lee Roth and the Van Halens backstage, and they loved it.I am both in love and hate this video at the same time. I love that it is the most amazing piece of art that I have ever seen but hate that I had nothing to do with this.
If this isnt the most talked about thing on the internet tommorow then I quit.
This video means so much to me, I’m sorry. I can’t go on anymore…
When I was one year old I must have felt the shock waves of the awesomeness of this coming from somewhere far, far away … and it made me who I am today.
Yeah! This became surprisingly good. Shows you nothing’s new too…
