A Modest Proposal - Tumblr Burgr Meetup
I’m going to abridge the following as everyone concerned has read this already. My comments at bottom…
I’d thought of putting together a tour de burger for this summer during the real tour de France, where people would bike around hitting all the top burger places and eating burgers at every spot. Half-tour is sharing a burger at each spot, full-tour is a full burger at each spot, and iron-person is burger and shake at each spot. So we could do that? Or just be lazy and subway it between spots. But either way count me in. Maybe if we do the tour de burger tumblr would sponsor tshirt? :)I’m proposing we get a group together, create a consensus on the top 5-7 places to try throughout the five boroughs, and ultimately decide who has the best burger in NYC.

Alright. Let’s do it. However, my roommate and I have been trying to find the ultimate burger for months now. No real luck, though I LOVE the Shake Shack. Love it! But:
Best for $4 is the Wall Street Burger Shoppe.
There’s a pretty good place that has a $14 kobe beef burger - the place starts with a Z but I can’t recall the name.
The best I’ve had in NYC so far is Spitzer’s short rib burger - they’re in the lower east side.
And give me some chuck to grind and a grill and I can make a better burger than any restaurant I’ve had… but let’s do it!
